Dimorphism of rhizomorphs refers to different shape and organization of those rhizomorphs that connect fruitbodies with mycorrhizae. The drawings show both types, The rhizomorph at the right hand side connects the mycorrhiza to the fruitbody. The rhizomorph at the left hand side grows into the soil. In addition to the outer appearance, an anatomical analysis clearly shows the differences in the structure.
