Sclerotia are mostly roundish; if they are elongated, a mean diameter (calculated upon the base of length and width) should be determined. A range of values should be determined, e.g. 0.5-2.5(-5) mm; the value in parantheses stands for an exceptional dimension. (For the determination process with DEEMY the exceptional values cannot be included.)
