Sometimes hyphae are partially aggregated fan-like (top), and sometimes the fans can continue forming rhizomorphs in some distance from the mycorrhiza (bottom). The latter case sometimes can be seen in Hebeloma mycorrhizae but only if they are still in a natural position or when they are synthesized in flat root chambers.
